On December 20th, Bev Phillip from the Hunter Family Holly Farm will be coming and doing a Holly craft with our class.
All the materials are being given to us by donation in hopes to raise a few more dollars towards the charity Aldea Maya. If you would like to donate some change to make a change in someone else's life, we will start a jar this week for contributions. I can't wait to show the kids the change their contributions have made in this small village in Guatemala in the new year. Merci :) If your child will be away that week and miss it, You can go to their farm in Lantzville on Saturday and kids make a free swag to take home and get to decorate a gingerbread cookie- and there's hot chocolate for everyone! They are just asking for warm clothes donations for that event (loonies, toonies and change in our class). Thank you for all your replies this weekend. We will have the Christmas Concert in our Classroom on the last day of school, Friday December 22nd at 2pm. If you haven't already, please fill out the form below and RSVP with how many will be joining us. We will make sure to put out enough seats. Merci! Every year at Quarterway, the teachers and staff host a fun night for families. Some years, it is a Christmas Concert, some years it is a craft night and this year it is the Winter Wonderland Dance Happening from 6-8pm on December 14th. Hope to see you all there! Last year, I offered a mini concert in our classroom on the last day of school before the break. Parents were invited to check in at the office and then make their way down to our classroom for 2pm and our class performed their Christmas songs. Everyone was then welcome to stay and mingle afterwards until the bell for dismissal. I can offer this again if there is an interest as I know a Christmas Concert in Kindergarten and grade 1 is a nice memory for many families. Please answer the form below to help me plan for this event. Email me if the date doesn't work for you or you have other questions/concerns.
