The grade 1 classes at Quarterway do a home-reading program where the kids are responsible for reading a book to a member of their family every night. They colour in a stack of books for every 10 books read and receive a certificate and a prize for every 50 books read! Please make sure to check what book they've chosen every day and return them to school every morning. A request for 5$ will be sent home for lost or stolen books as it costs quite a bit to supply enough little readers for this program. Please keep home reading booklet and books in plastic pocket of agenda. Merci! For anyone wanting additional reading at home - Kindergarten too! I've signed up to EPIC BOOKS and there is a small French Collection there too.
